getting system properties with stored procedures

is there any stored procedure in SQL Server 2000 that can return a list of logical drives found on the same machine that the SQL Server is running on even if the machine is remote.

xp_fixeddrives returns the list of all fixed hard drives and the amount free space in Mb for each hard drive.

However, if you refer to mapped drives, you cannot list them from SQL Server because SQL Server cannot see drives mapped by Windows.
