I am having a problem getting Shoretel phones to go into the voice vlan when connected to a Juniper switch. Switches are on current code and the Shoretel system is on 14.1. When the phone boots it appears to work since it pulls an IP from the voice vlan, but then it displays "Reconfiguring network", reboots and puts itself into the native vlan on the switch port. I have verified that the only DHCP option enabled is 156 and all it pushes is the FTP server IP. Not sure what I am missing and I don't have a lot of stick time setting up LLDP-MED, especially in Junos.

I have made some progress, but need to get Shoretel to clarify a few things. Basically the issue doesn't appear to be with Junos, but with the DHCP option 156. I had it set to push the FTP server info only, but for some reason the phone is getting instructions to reconfigure it's network settings. I disabled 156 and enabled 66 in the scope and set it to the FTP IP and it worked like a charm.

Dumb question, but do you have LLDP enabled on the Juno?

Yes, I have LLDP enabled. The issue appears to not have been on the Junos side, but something with the Shoretel vendor specific DHCP option. So far, Shoretel has not provided any useful information.

I was just reading the following this morning. AN10326. I see page referenced "For configuring base LLDP functionality for Juniper, refer to Juniper Knowledge Base article KB11308. Not sure you seen the KB, yet but take a look.
