Hi guys,

was wondering if anyone knew how to get sharepoint to recognise something like PDF files??? I can upload them fine, but i want it recognised so that the icon that gets displayed doens't show up as 'unrecognised' if you know what i mean.

Many thanks!!

thank you so much for your help!!!

...hey, i've upload some .chm files... is there something similar for these??

Thank you again!

Hello,

I am not sure if there is an iFilter for the .chm files. I think that SharePoint by default blocks the .chm extension and you will have to go into the SharePoint Central Administration and in the Security Configuration area chose manage blocked filetypes and remove the .chm from that list.

Regards,
Thomas

Okay did not read that you allready uploaded those files..so then you can disregard the blocked filetypes thing, I have not seen an ifilter for those filetypes though...but I have not been looking that hard..If I find anything I will let you know.

Cheers,
Thomas
