Getting S-video and saving a screen shot

Hello folks,
I am new to JMF and wanted a way to monitor and capture a screen shot from the S-video connected to a imaging device. I am not sure if this is possible. I have read about capturing video from a device connected thru USB using JMF. I would appreciate if someone could guide me. Thanks for your time.
