Getting rid of the backgground

Hi I am making a flash file and when I put a cars image on the stage,it comes along with its white background which I dont want to have.

Is there a way I can get rid of the white background?? and have just the car as an image?

Since your PNG image is transparent, i see no reason for ti not to ork, how are you bringing it onto flash? Are you using the Import feature?

Aha! I wasnt using the import feature..silly me. I was pasting the copied image.
