Hi everyone,

after selecting a specific directory and deleting everything that's been backed up under the directory structure from the TSM server the empty directory still remains. And it does not disappear if I delete the directory from the client.

How do I get rid of such directories that do not exist anymore ?

Is this an entire filespace or just a directory under the filespace?

Realistically, if it doesn't exist on the client side, then it shouldn't exist in the TSM server, so perhaps an incremental has to run to validate that the folder is indeed gone from the client?

If it is an entire filespace, then you can just remove the filespace with the del fi command.

Just a thought.

We found it !
Problem was an old and obsolete set to unlimited management class for directories :)

But thanks a lot for the input !

Thomas
