Hello all I am very new to Paradox. I am trying to run a Paradox 4.5 application from a Win2K machine. I beleive I have all the files to run this but I keep getting this error when I try running the PDOXRUN.EXE. It says "No Script specified on command line". Any idea i am trying to see what I am doign wrong. The cmd line under properties for both the EXE and PIF file for PDOXRUN says the following:
PDOXRUN.EXE -extk 3096

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all

Pdox DOS Runtime will only work with a script. You have to supply the script name (path included) at the end of the command line. Look for filenames ending in *.sc.

Also, change that number to 16000

i.e PDOXRUN.EXE -extk 16000 c:\mydir\myscript.sc (I think it will work without the .sc extension, 3.5 and 4.x were different but I don't remember which was which)

Handey,

As Langley noted, you don't have Paradox, tyou have Paradox Runtime, which means that someone likely built you a Paradox application and then gave you the Runtime to run it.

You're going to need the name of the launching script in order to run your app. Look for files with .SC or .SC2 extensions. Typically, they have descriptive names. I've seen GO.SC(2), START.SC(2), PLAYME.SC(2), and so on.

Also, (since we're sharing command-line suggestions on the DOS product), you may find it helpful to also include -share, especially if you're using Windows Sharing or other peer-to-peer networking.

Hope this helps...
