When I try to open any application within Macola I get a command window open with "FILESYS: No FCB for"

I have uninstalled progression and reinstalled it and macola 3 times and I get the same message each time.
It started after I reinstalled windows, before that it was working fine.

Anyone know how to get rid of this?

Not enough info:
What version of Windows?
What version of Progression?
What database engine are you using, Pervasive or MS SQL? What version of the engine?

My guess is that since you reinstalled windows it wiped everything, and you need either the SQL or Pervasive client installed. If you are running SQL and you have XP Pro or Vista, the SQL client is a part of windows. (If this is the case you have another issue going on). If not you need to run the SQL client connectivity install.

If you are running Pervasive, you will need to run the Pervasive client no matter what version of windows you are running.

Let me know what you discover.

Sorry about the lack of info.

Running XP Pro SP3

Progression 7.5.103f

Pervasive SQL client 7.82

I have installed pervasive client and Progression 3 times and I still get the same results each time(I uninstalled pervasive client first each time).

How about drive mappings? You cannot install macola from a UNC address, it must be a mapped drive, and the same drive as all other workstations, which is defined in Macola Company Setup.

The drive mapping should be one folder about the Macola root and is typically called "Macapps".

Compare drive mapping on a working workstation versus this one, and reinstall the Macola client from the Mapped drive, not a UNC address.

Strange, this is the third time I've replied to your message, lets hope this one shows up...

I have the proper drive mapped out, it's the top level of the macola folder in our case it's Macola70 (M:) inside this folder are the Data and install directories.

When you install the Macola client, you must do the install from the mapped (M:) drive.

You will see this error if the install was done by browsing out to the network folder and doing the install. If that was done, reinstall the Macola client from the mapped (M:) drive.

Also, check the properties of the PWE or Progression Explorer shortcuts to make sure they are referencing the mapped (M:) drive and not the UNC / network name of the drive.

I did install from this directory, I even just reinstalled it again but I still get this message.

This is the directory listing from my M: drive to make sure I'm at the right level.

_UPDATE_

And my progression explorer shortcut points to M: as well.

Can you think of anything else that might cause this issue?

The funny thing is that I've installed this maybe 3 or 4 times before and never seen this problem (2 times on this machine over the years)
