When users of a BCM400 using 4.0 make calls that go over the GATM modules, they periodically hear a BEEP over the phone. This does not happen all the time-but it does reoccur on a call when it happens. Does anyone have any idea as to what may be causing the problem.
Thanks,

Don't know what the problem is, but the next time it happens use the BCM Monitor program to see what Line the call is on then check the programming on that Line.

It sounds like a Line being recorded tone.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Also check with the carrier and see if you have call waiting on the lines. Next time it happens tell the person to try using the Link Feature (F71) and see if another all is comming in.

Someone may have enabled call monitor in the BCM and could be monitoring the station.

Thanks for the replies but did consider if someone was recording and it is happening on more than one call. Also incoming calls only ring on non-busy lines since all phone lines are on a telco hunt group.
I would be only person that would monitor the lines and I have not done it for a prolonged period of time and whereas I have monitored the BCM I have not really monitored individual lines.

Are they using headsets. If so they will beep when they need charging or the battery is low.
