I have an MM5.1 using QSIG/DS1 to an AVAYA CM6.0.1. Getting reports of delays when accessing vm and messages saying 'please wait'. Uptime of the 2 MAS Servers is 60 days.

MSS is the store. It's intermittent and I can only duplicate it for very short periods of time.

If you have 2 MAS's it could be that one is not able to connect to the message store and that is why it is intermittent.

The only way this would happen is if the MAS that the user is connected to cant reach or is severely delayed in reaching the MSS.

I would make some test calls and see if it only happens when the call is on MAS X first.

Got it. Why would that happen with just 1 of them? All of these boxes sit directly on top of one another, on the same subnet , with both private and public connections, and the PBX is 1 cabinet over since they are physically connected to the dialogic boards - DS1.

Lots of things can make it act this way. Services may need restarting on the MAS the NIC may be unplugged router port bad.

But if you find that it is just one of the MAS's then you would need to look in the App log and i am sure it will show errors.

These boxes were bounced about 60 days ago. I usually try and keep up with the 90 day rule so I'm surprised they are acting 'unhappy'.
