Alright, I recently got Cable Modem, and I've just realized that with a router, I don't have an IP address as far as I know. My brother suggested that I could somehow set up a pseudo-ip address or something like that. I'm not sure how to do this, mainly cause I do not know how to program at all. if there is some program on the internet that can help me set one up, that would be MUCH appreciated. Any help out there?

You have to have an IP Address whether you have a Router or not. With most cable modems, the IP address on your external side of your Router may ocassionaly change with DHCP, but you are probably using the Router with NAT so your internal pc's are getting IP addresses from the Router.

What is it that you are trying to do? Are you trying to host your own website? What type of a Router are you using? Need more information to help.
