getting MS InterDev to link to a server

I am a student at the University of Colorado at boulder.<br>
I am attempting to use MS Visual InterDev to make a web application for a group project (which has basically been a single-person effort$#$) anyway, I keep getting the "Server not found" error. <br>

I think there are two possible reasons for this.<br>
1) the frontpage file extensions have not been installed<br>
<br>
2) a previous version of Apache was installed<br>
<br>
I uninstalled the Apache web server using the add/remove programs, but I have found apache files on the registry. I would like to delete them, but I don't want to crash the system. Also, When I go into the "services" the Apache server still appears as disabled.<br>

so I have some questions:<br>
<br>
-how can I check to see of the Frontpage extensions are there?<br>
-am I way off base with these ideas<br>
-do I need to delete the Apache files out of the registry?<br>
-do you guys have any other suggestions?<br>

Those are some really good questions, i have had some similar difficulties. I would like to hear the answers to those questions as well.

I figured it out....<br>
wen through and re-installed office pak 4, that wasn't the problem...the problem was that I uninstalled Apache before I disabled it in NT. You guys probably knew that anyway, but just in case any other stoopid people make the same mistake <br>

always remember to disable a service before uninstalling it!<br>
