Running Windows XP Pro; can't run dbase programs; getting message "too many files are open"

Thank you ChaZ for your interest in my problem. However, as usual, going to Microsoft for information is the most fruitless enterprise I have ever indulged in, as it was again this time. However, the solution to this problem became apparent to me when you mentioned CONFIG FILE. I went there and found that someone?sometime? had added a character(0) to the files = 20 statement. I deleted that character and now my program works again. Thank you so much for your help!

Glad to help. Oddly, when I had the problem, the advice on the article I sent fixed it.

Either way, glad you are up and running.

ChaZ
