Hi Everyone,

I have scoured Google and the likes for days on end now trying to find an answer to this... hoping someone can help me here.

I am setting up an intranet site for my region, and I want the application to recognise the user automatically as they access it.

I need IIS to be set up with a fixed login to access various network resources, so Integrated Security in IIS is out of the question. Also, I need to get the windows user that is accessing the page(s) in queston so I can check against a database whether they have access to that particular page.

I don't want to use any other authentication method as the users won't use anything that means they have to remember another password.

Any ideas?

what is the result of

Code:
response.write Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER")
