We upgraded our phone sytems to all IP and replaced our BCM 400's with BCM50 running as SRGs. We did not reset or mark them and just unplugged them. We put the IP addresses onto the new SRGs and now if I reconnect the old ones to reset, I have an IP address conflict. Is there another interface other than the network?

Your best to post in the CS1000 forum if its an SRG as they have more SRG techs there.

Look in your IP Subsystem in SYstem to see the network structure and also the look at the DHCP setup under Data Services.

The simplest way to reset the old BCM systems is to configure your PC to use a static IP address, then connect it to each BCM directly using a network cable to perform the reset. That way, you eliminate your LAN and with it any possibility of an IP address conflict.

Having read your query a few times. the easiest way I know is to just switch it on without having any Ethernet cables plugged in and then connect with the unpublished LAN port (usually LAN2) and I think the default IP address would be 10.10.11.1 or sometimes it is 10.10.12.1 to 10.10.14.1 etc with a Subnet of 255.255.255.0.

The BCM 50's tended to use a Subnet of 255.255.255.252

On the older BCM 400 versions 2.x and 3.x (Windows NT), you could have connected with a serial cable at 9600 baud and logged in to make the IP Address changes. I don't think it is possible to do this on the 4.0 Linux version, although it can be done on the BCM 450 and 50 via SSH at 5.0 and 6.0.
