I downloaded an ftp SuSE 7.1 distro after trying the live cd evaluation whicn is an uninstallable image. The problem is that I ended up with an unbootable cd. Even booting with the floppies,Initrd and linux get loaded and after uncompressing and processing it gets to the point where it looks for the infofile -- that's when I get the message "Make sure SuSE installation CD 1 is in the cdrom drive". When I hit continue it switches to manual installation mode and I can go through the complete installation fine.

I heard a lot about the improvements to yast2 and about the new partitioning schemes that I wanted to check them out.Can anyone tell me what files are involved in making a cd bootable and what is the sequence followed to get yast2 to kick in? I tried duplicating the lay out of the ftp site and even of the SuSE 7.0 bootable cd without any luck.I noticed that inst-sys in the two versions are not the same.In 7.0 the files are uncompressed while in 7.1 they are tar.gzed . I tried uncompressing to no avail.
I am very curious as to what I'm doing wrong. So needless to say your help will be very much appreciated.
