Getting Excel Viewer to read queries

I dunno if this is possible (I suspect not), but does anybody have any idea how I could get the Excel viewer (being used for licensing reasons (!)) to get it's info from an access database on a network?
If anybody has any ideas that'd be great, but if not, Happy New Year anyway.

use the transferdatabase method to make the spreadsheet.... you can do it as many times a day as you like... I'm not sure of the "viewer" aspect.
