getting error when trying to attach a file

Hi all.

Here's another strange one (at least for me).

Running GW 6 in a NetWare 5.0 (all patched current) environment.

Starting this afternoon I started getting the following error when attempting to attach a file to an email.

"GRPWISE caused an invalid page fault in module GWMXLIB1.DLL"

Can't find too much on this at Novell's KB.

Was hoping you fine folks could shed some light on this error message.

This morning I had the same issue pop up on one of my PC's. Have you had any luck finding a cause/solution? The Novell knowledgebase was no help.

Hi,

Check out Novell TID 10018844.

It's an indication that GroupWise was not properly patched.

Having the exact same problem as MarkRCC except running GW 6 SP1.
Also getting a MFC42.dll error message when trying to close GW after GWMXLIB1.dll error.

As suggested looked at TID 10018844... but it is referring to GW 5.5 SP3.

Any other suggestions?

Just a suggestion, but you might try looking @ GW 6 SP2 to see if it has the answer. I have not seen the problem with any of our users (5k plus). Again we are running NW 6 w/latest SP & GW 6.0.2. There is also a FTF for GW SP3, but I would only suggest using it as a last resort. Good Luck!
