Hi, I just created a date parameter. When I try to use it in a formula as following :

"FROM " + totext(minimum({?Date Boundaries}))+ " TO " +totext(maximum({?Date Boundaries}))

I get the error message :
"The summary/running total field could not be created"

Any idea why this is happening?

I'm using CR v8.5

Thanks

Simon

There is nothing wrong with the logic of your formula, so the error must be arising due to where you are trying to implement the above text.

I guess you aren't just creating a new formula and exclusively using it for the range details you specified, so where are you inserting this text, and is it sharing the formula with any other details?

Its actually a very simple report. The formula that I'm talking about is in the report header as a title. Than, I'm using a subreport that is going to show some data depending on the parameter {?Date Boundaries}, but its not implemented yet... But everytime I try to use this field, I get the same error... humm...

any idea?

Thanks,

Simon

Nevermind, I'm just dumb, I didn't set the date parameter to range but to discrete... That's why...

Thanks...
