Does the email server entry support domain name entries or just IP?
I was able to enter the mail.name..com but was unsuccessful in getting an email. The manual states to enter the IP address but was curious because I was able to enter the above.

What system? Either the 3300 or the 200 ICP requires server IP address

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. Mitel 3300.

Weird, because like I said it allowed me to put in an outgoing mail server name.

It allows you to put in whatever you want but if you don't have the IP address for their email server it won't work. You have to have a valid email user address that doesn't require authentication as well.

If you use a name you will need to supply the DNS entries in the System IP Properties.
