Getting Duplicate Notifications from MOM?

MOM 2005, using a vbs script to send the alert to an external paging service. Using Alert Rules to generate the notifications in MOM and calling the vbs script from a command in the "Send a Notification to a Notification Group" dialog. I have the VBS script write to the Event Log. EVERY alert notification we have set up executes the VBS script twice (with only one alert generated in MOM). Anyone else see anything like this?

I have checked all my groups, etc. - including removing myself from the groups altogether and still I receive two notifications.
