Crystal Reports 8 - I can open other data sources but when I try to open an Excel file it asks me for a Microsoft Access Password? The data is not protected, does anyone know where I find this password or how to get past this?

Do you mean it will open OK as an Excel file, but not when you try to get at it via Crystal?

If so, try moving the data to another file and see if it will become accessable from there.

If Masawc's solution fails, which was a known concern for Seagte Info:

It may be a newer version of Excel, and Crystal's direct method doesn't recognize the format correctly.

There are 2 ways to open Excel files, direct or via ODBC. I'm guessing that you're using direct and should set up an ODBC connection using the Microsoft ODBC connectivity.
