Getting closer THANKS TO YOU! - Backing up exchange w/ 7.2

I've been trying for weeks to get a good backup of the exchange server....Thanks to you guys I'm almost there!!! Just have one problem now and I think it will be solved.


Problem: When backing up (ALL) the mailboxes, I get access denied on the mailboxes from L-Z. However, When I only Backup mailboxes L-Z, the backup is ok. It's almost like I'm running out of tape space.. But I have a 40gb tape backup. I can backup A-K mailboxes ok and I can backup L-Z mailboxes ok. But when I backup A-Z I get access denied on L-Z. I have 278 mailboxes in A-K and 229 mailboxes in L-Z.


Please help if ya can and thanks again for all the help so far.....

The first thing I would do is update to 7.3 and apply the patches (free upgrade from 7.2 to 7.3)

Go to

select:
Patches and Updates
Backup Exec
Backup Exec for Windows NT and Windows 2000
use the filter and select 7.3

download and apply the following:

(follow instructions carefully)

bntidrv.exe Driver - Device Driver Set

MediaFix_234341.exe - Patch - "Unrecognized Media" Hotfix for BENT v7.3 b.2575

post2575.exe - Patch Update BENT v7.3 bld 2575

spanfix.exe - Patch for BENT v7.3 bld.2575

ofofix.exe - Patch - OFO fix for Blue Screen & Initialization issues
