Getting CheckSum Error in Logger Files (688)

After we replaced a CPU card for a NIC problem, we now get "CheckSum Error on Logger Files (688)" on Supervision. This is an old 8.7 logger, due to be replaced this year. When we run logger test from Supervision, it reports "CheckSum errors on the interface". But,it seems to be recording OK.
 
clear out the windows event viewer files on the logger. restart nice supervision
 
After clearing out the event viewer we still seem to have this error and was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions?
 
there is an internal licence that is based on the mac address generated when you install the logger s/w. It's been a while but I think you can run the upgrade.exe with the existing config file and it will generate a new one based on the new mac address.
