Getting caller ID to work on 4.0 ACS

Users don't see the caller unless they push a button. Any way around that?

You mean a "Name" button? (Feature 16) Yes, there is a way around it- upgrade to R6.0 and don't use any of the old MLS phones if you have any.

Using 18D now and call display dosn't come up until you answer the telephone...and no name shows

Are they set to ring? otherwise that is exactly what they will do.

You mean ring at the extension when there is an incoming call to the phone set, or ring from the outside line line apperar and ring.

Ring on the phone you want CID to display.

You need the outside line to appear and ring. Pressing the flashing line key should bring the info up.
