Hello,

I have run into a little situation with some web queries we have posted on our intranet. 95% of the users can download these files correctly, the other 5% recive blank files when they save the file or try to launch it from the site in excel.

I have tried changing many of the settings in Excel, uninstalled the anti-virus software, and more. The only thing that seems to be standard across all of the machines is that they are Excel 2000. They have diffrent Operating Systems (windows 95, 98, 2000).

Has anyone had a simular experence?

Charlie

If they save the file is file size 0kb? I am just wondering if the file association command statement is possibly incorrect. So instead of opening the file it is just opening the a blank excel sheet. joegz

The file size on the PCs that are having problems is zero (0 kb) when saved but shows as having a normal size (which varies depending on the file) but is only a few kb in size.

If you save the web query to the machine then open it with notepad the actual commands of the query do not appear on the problem machines, but you can see the text on machines that are able to run the query.

I have even tried installing the MS Office patch for HTML security.
