I am working on a drill down report with 3 levels. Each level has a cfm/htm file associated with it. At the 3rd level, the user can choose to sort several ways. When this happens, the level 3 report calls itself. After the level 3 report calls itself a few times or so, how can I get the user back to the level 2 report with the options that were selected? I know about a link to 'goto history -1', but how do I know how many back to go? X-) These levels all happen in the same window. Pop-up windows were not wanted. Anyone out there got any good ideas?

I am a programmer, but don't do this part alot, so if someone could give me a head start, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Try comparing the history URLs with the one you want to go back to.

I have not tried this - and I know you can't explicitly get the contents of history, but I think you can make comparisons.

;-)

I think you're just going to have to build one of those navigation thingamaboppers like you see at the top of this page.
