Getting an image to follow a curved path

Hi there,

I'm new to illustrator so this is probably a really simple solution!.

I've imported a bitmap logo and created a vector image out of it but I can't seem to make it follow a curved path. I need it to 'arc' but the arc filter is too severe and the arc 'apex' is in the wrong place. I just need the image to bend and follow a curve. Can anyone help?.
