Having major problems. Created a report in Impromptu Adminstrator that connects to a DB2 database using Neon Shadow Direct. All latest versions. Getting an -171 sql code error when substringing a time field. This was working on an older version of Neon Shadow Direct but not newer versions, though when i reinstalled the old version its now not working at all.

Also tried various combinations of the advanced options in ODBC Admin on the Neon Driver to no avail.

My question is, has anyone else come across this and figured a way around it ?
Is the way around it creating User Defined Functions ?
Is anyone else also peeved at the lack of time field support..?

Please help as im running out of hair to pull out

Can you convert the time field to a string then substring?

Unfortunatley no, because its a time field. When trying to use the built in functions to convert it to a string before substringing it, no time columns show in the selection.
I have also tried to set the ODBC advanced options to convert DB2 time to a string but that did not work either.
