getting a value from ASP page into a Data Access Page

I would like to open a Data Access Page from a link on an existing ASP page. I want a particular group of records for my DAP, based on the group of records selected for the ASP page. Can I open the DAP query using a parameter passed from the ASP page?.

Along these lines, I haven't found any reference to help a nub get into Data Access Pages. Is there a good book or website for this?
