I'm new to Lotus Notes Formula Language and I am trying to find some way to make an agent that will take the first document in a view, get a field name, and place that value, incremented by one, in another document in another view. If it helps, the field that is being replaced is blank.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I should go about solving this problem?

I would think that LotusScript would be a better support for that. Formula language, even enhanced as it has been since R4, is not what is needed for cross-view, multi-document handling.

Pascal.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.
