Getting a date that is relative to the Report?

MY question is: I have developed a frontend using CE, All the reports are viewed from history so when you click on the report it takes to the list of it's history. Now this is my problem. I can pull up the generation time of the report,well to me this is useless because it is not actually relative to the data inside the report. What I would like to do is somehow get the date from inside the report and print that instead of the generation time in my csp page. Any Ideas?

Perhaps datadate will do?

If you are basing the report on a date range, is it based on a parameter?, in which case you could display the parameter values.
