So I have finished my own version of Notepad, quite nifty it is, and I have told windows to open all text files with it, so the problem is that when I click a text file, it opens MyNotePad but the file doesn't open!?!?!?!?

I'm guessing windows messaging or something? Anyone with an answer? Please help me.

Telling Windows to use MyNotePad will just cause it to invoke MyNotePad.exe with the name of the file you're opening as a parameter. You have to check on your app's startup whether ParamCount is greater than 0, and if it is ParamStr(1) will contain the filename you're trying to open.
