Hi,

I have the following assignment question:

A manager wants to know how many UDP Indatagrams arrived at a router. The MIB variable relating to this information is 1.3.6.1.2.1.7.1. Show the getresponse encoding with comment. The following information is provided:

Data type codes SNMP message codes
Integer 02 Get request A0
String 04 Get next request A1
Obj. Identifier 06 Get response A2
Sequence 30 Set request A3
IP address 40 Trap A4
Counter 41
Guage 42
Time ticks 43

I have gone through the text book and many sites but cannot find any reference to this type of question. I am also not sure if the question is valid as I cannot find a message type 'getresponse', only 'response' and 'getrequest'.

Can anyone help me in the right direction, or point me to a resource which could help?

Regards
