Hey there folks --

I'm trying to design a new quote system for a company who is currently using a Paradox database. I have never used Paradox before so I'm a bit lost. They're using the PFW Runtime v5.0 (c) 1994 - Borland Intl, so I'm assuming it's incredibly old. The wall I'm up against is that there's a particular formula that was created years ago and has since been forgotten/lost/etc.. I would like to know if it's possible to extract that formula from the project somehow. Would I be able to see the source code in the .FSL files? Can I decompile back to source code?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes if it's a .fsl file and not a .fdl file, you will need a full version of paradox to manipulate the code. Try opening the .fsl file in notepad or some other word processing program and you should be able to scan through most of the code. You can also find WordPerfect Office 2002 with paradox on ebay for around $20.00.

Also - Depending on how/where you see the result, the formula may also be part of a calculated field in a report. Mac :)
