get_string failed

Hi all,
I ould succesfully install netbackup 4.5 on our Windows XP SP2 clients and after the installation when I checked the server logs I got this error--
get_string failed -premature end of file encountered(5)
couldnot process request from client'shostname

The server is not able to perform backups on these clients after this!
What could be the problem?
Any suggestions are highly appreciated!

Are you installing the Advanced Client or the Standard Client?

I don't know!!
It didn't give me this option while I was installing the client.
I just checked, there is no such option!
What's the difference though?

What are the master and media servers running? It has to cascaed down so the client must not be a higher version than what is backing it up.

Be aware also that the client name must be correct in every detail during the install and must match what the master and medias have it as and can resolve it as. I would try reinstalling.
