Hi,

I would like to find a way of getting UK weather information for a lat/long location - read it into Access and then be able to send an email with a very simple forcast for the day.

The easy bit I am fine with (sending the meail :)) ....but I am having trouble getting my head around how to retrieve the information from an RRS or XML feed and make it usable in Access. Any Ideas.......... Thanks

i wouldn't have a clue about specialized feeds but how about finding a web site in the first place that has such data and then using the InternetExplorer object in VBA to read the HTML source behind the page and extract what you want using string handling functions.

Thanks for the idea..thats kind of whaqt I want to do - but I have no idea how to achieve it. My VBA programming is pretty good for notmal Access Database applications but droppingout and reading HTML coded....no a clue. I have looked at some web scrubbers to try to get the information and read it into a table ...but that seems complicated when there are so many feeds around.....

Anybody?
