Get value of PARAM tag into my ActiveX control

This is really killing me!!!

I have looked high and low for about 2 days, trying to find out a decent example of how to read the value of a PARAM tag in the html page into my ActiveX control.

Please can someone give me a good simple example.

unfortunately I won't solve the problem, but ask you if you have solved it. I am in a similar situation here, just getting into my 5th day trying to solve it. Please, if you or anyone in the list knows how to have the Control reading a PARAM value, I would be very glad if it could be shared with me.

a param should have a corresponding property in IDispatch. So, if there is a such method/property, the problem sould disappear.

Yes I know what you are going through.

I could never get any REAL help on this topic from anybody, just vague answers. But I do now have the solution.

Email me your email address to greg@i-online.co.za and I will email you a vb 6 project and a web page that lets you read param values from the web page and calls events from the web page as well.

gregquinn, what kind of solution? solution will implement you. If you don't understand my answer, it means you should study a little the basics of COM:
1. What is COM object
2. What is IDispatch
3. What is method and what is property
