Get User Input as a date but not string in batch script

Hi,
I need to get the Input variable in batch script which will be the date in format mm/dd/yyyy. If the user enters string like ex: test, it shouldn't accept the string or any other data except date in batch script.

When you refer to batch script are you referring to batch file (.BAT or .CMD file). If that the case, the built-in batch language provide this type of functionality. Try using vbscript or powershell
