Get the number of result record back when filter

What I'm doing is performing a filter, but I've decided to not show my navigation buttons (Microsoft default look) on the bottom of the form..Therefore, the user doesn't know how many records result from the filter. What I'm doing is customizing my own navigation buttons, so I need a way to get the number result from my filter..But I'm not sure how to do that.

Just create an unbound text field. Make the control source =count([UniqueID])
