Get texts on a layer in autocad 2000 from vba? 1

is there any way to get texts in a layer?
i have many layers and texts on them and want to read those texts in vba and write them in a file or database.

Not sure I understand fully - could you please be more specific. You just trying to select Text on certain layers?

i want to extract texts in my drawing to Access or another database.

Create a selection set of all TEXT objects in the DWG and write out their values and Layer property to a comma delimited TXT file. Import the TXT to Access.

yes selection set sounds good. i understood want to do. i will make a loop in the selection set and catch the text using AcadText object.
