get stuff onto an iPhone

Does anyone know of any way to get stuff off an iMac and onto an iPhone, im running OS 10.3.9, and so far i keep getting errors telling me that i need OS 10.4.9 at least.

What "stuff"?
If you mean audio, video and other sync'ing via iTunes, then you'll need to upgrade to 10.4 or 10.5. If it's applications, then the iPhone needs to be hacked and then the "stuff" can be ftp'd across. For viewable documents, send as email attachments.
