To handle the locks on my system I use the snapshot for locks command. However this command writes the result on my command center window or db2 command line processor (dos prompt). Is it possible to redirect these lock lists to a file I state?

db2 get snapshot for locks on db001 > db001_locks.out

Does this help ?????

What version of db2 are you on ?

If you are on version 8, you can use the Snapshot table functions to access the snapshot using SQL

Cheers

I managed to solve my problem by using ><file_name> command.
But it was difficult to run and get tihe file via Java. However it worked.
Thank you Sathyaram!
