How can i get rid of the "Overwrite media" message every morning, the backup is now successful but i still get this Bling.
I got 24 tapes that i use and they are labled 8mm000001-8mm0000024, something like that, and now when i start from the beginning with tape one i get this message.

Do i have to relabel the tapes or do i have to make different media sets?

/Thomas

go to tools/options/media overwrite - what are the settings?

go to the media tab at the bottom of the screen and go to the media sets.

what are the media settings for the user media sets?

tools/options/media overwrite > None , Overwrite Scratch Media Before...

Media Set: Infinte - Allow Append

Tip:

- change the Media Overwrite tab to "partial"
- change the Overwrite period on media set to "0" Hours
- drag the media into scratch media (this will wipe out the old protection period) > run a backup
