I want to set up a whole bunch of plans whic would include information like legal description, address areas and such. I already have this information in an access database. I dont want to have to keep updating both locations when information changes. What I would like to do is have the AutoCAD drawings read from the database based on the building name then input the corresponding info from the database. Can somebody point me to where I need to go to find this?

Any other suggestions? I need the next installment of that series and I dont know how long it will be.

EdmCath,

Not sure which version of AutoCAD you're using but if you're on at least 2000, (maybe even 14) there is a sample drawing of a building using the AutoCAD database connectivity object. Depending on which version of AutoCAD you have, you will find it in the samples directory, or under the sample\database connectivity directory.

I was actually looking for #4 in the set. Where he refers to SQL.
