Get Parameter Into a Report for Calculation

From: John H

Comments

I have a Report created from a Crosstab Query. What I need to do is add a field in one of my sectiion footers to calculate a
value.

Example: =[Number of Faults]*15/[Sum Of Total Inspections1]*15

The Number of Faults is not stored in the tables nor is it calculated in the underlying query. It is a number that is supplied
externally so I will need to enter this number at run time and have it displayed in the report as well as have it available for
calculations.

I have tried to create a calculated field in the query and request a parameter from the query but I can't seem to get the
number to show up in the report.

Any idea how I can get this parameter into my report?

Thanks.

John

John,

Try adding a label to your report and define its control source to be your parameter name (with the brackets) [Number of Faults]
