Get Local Username

Does anyone know if there is a way to obtain the name of the user who is logged in to a device via CF, Javascript, anything.

All of my PCs are part of a domain, so they will have some kind of a username defined.

Any thoughts at all?

You can use ColdFusion CGI Environment Variables:

You'll particularly want to look at AUTH_USER.

also, if you are using cflogin framework, you can use : GetAuthUser().

If the users are logged in then you can create a SESSION Struct that holds the username, firstname, lastname, etc and call the SESSION var where you need to.
