get '????????' for filenames in CDROM

Hey,
I'm trying to read mp3 files from cds I have written but instead of proper filenames I get ???????? same when doing an ls, I've looked at man page for mount, tried -vfat option, no success. This seems to be happening mainly with silver audio cdrs

any help is greatly appreciated

try other linux box with other cdrom, maybe it's an hw problem

Ta, I'm using RH 7 so it must be a hardware prob. Right now I'm using my cdrw to read discs so i'll try it using the original cdrom, i'll tell how I get on.....
