Get External Data

I'm having problems of creating a query in Access. In Excel I go to Data Import external data, and I can see all the fields for the data on the network. My problem is I need to import the same into Access but when I go File, Get External Data and use the same path nothing happens. What am I doing wrong.

I am guessing that you are not changing the "files of type" to excel - that is probably the case if you are not seeing the file there?

Other than that, it is pretty straight forward.
