Can someone please post instrucions on how to link to Google maps? That is, what do you append in the query string to view a map of an address with an from address input text box prompt?

I don't want to embed the map in the page. I just want to link to the map on Google's site and have it start on the get directions page.

Just go to , type the place you want in the "To" box, drag/resize the map as you wish and click on the "Link to this page" link above the map and to the right. It will take you to a URL that displays a map as you've set it up - which you can the use to link to.

If you've actually got lots of places to link to, say you're pulling them from a database, try building a URL like this:

new+york

just put the place you want in the q parameter.
